But god dammit, I think there should be a hell of a lot more awareness in Australia about what happened. Lilly didn’t even know what the Twin Towers were until last night, and when I told her what had happened before she was born she was horrified.

Lilly had a “boyfriend” at school. It was adorable, all they did is sit together at lunch and pick each other first for sport teams, I thought it was cute.

They broke up today. Lilly was very cavalier about it all, when I was kidding around going “oh no, he must be DEVASTATED! The prettiest girl in the world dumped him.”

She rolled her eyes at me and said “mum, I’m only five, he’s got lots of time to find another girlfriend and be happy.”

So because y’all are awesome and every time I post about my eyeshadow people always say they’ve got product envy I’m doing a Naked Palette giveaway. I decided I’ll let the winner choose between the original and Naked2(thus the pictures that don’t belong to me), although I prefer Naked2.

My daughter’s therapist says that she’s progressing so well that we can move her visits from weekly to fortnightly. I was on the front page of the paper yesterday for my “tattoos for veterans” initiative. (not as crazy as it sounds, will explain later.) my fiance is almost at the point to take over the store, meaning much more time at home with us and a LOT more money. Dude, I had to swaddle Lilly until she was almost two. ALMOST. TWO.

It’s not crazy, some babies just get really overstimulated because they can move their arms and that distracts them. Lilly used to deliberately smack herself in the face when she was tired because she was fighting sleep so much. Whatever works!

I volunteered to help with Lilly’s after school active program. Sure, why not, I don’t work Tuesday afternoons, and it’ll give her something to do.

Running in circles with five year olds, sure, I can do that.

Yoga when Jake came home, sure, why not.

Coming home and finding that Jake’s parents have got Lilly for the night, which I forgot about, and he wants to go for a run.

Trying to put shoes on Lilly when she was a baby was just a futile exercise. Three seconds later they came off. She’s the same now, she HATES shoes! I always made her wear them if it was freezing, but it’s nothing to panic over, my kid turned out fine, she never got pneumonia or anything sinister from not wearing socks :)
